YouTube TV Removing Channels From Its Lineup
YouTube TV has notified subscribers that it will be removing 3 channels from its lineup as of September 30, 2026. Today’s post will go over the announcement.
What Is Being Removed
According to the announcement released by YouTube TV, they will be removing
- Court TV
- The Young Turks
- Tastemade (including the Spanish Plus add-on and 4K Plus add-on)
In total, there will be 5 channels removed from the YouTube TV service.
YouTube TV states that “members can continue to watch select channel content from the 3 removed channels via YouTube. This notice also reminds subscribers that they don’t permanently keep anything saved, as this change will also include removal of “content in your library that you may have recorded” from the affected channels.
Final Thoughts
Remember that with streaming, you don’t permanently store or keep what you have saved. You are paying to “rent” what you save, and due to licensing changes or just because the streaming service decides it doesn’t want to carry a product anymore (audio or streaming video) you can and most likely will lose access to what you save.
Unless you buy physical media, you DON’T actually own it.
