About The iOS/iPad OS 16 UpdateÂ
The iOS/iPadOS 16 update includes a number of new features, which includes

- Edit a message – You can edit a message for up to 15 minutes after sending it. Recipients will be able to see a record of edits made to the message.
- Fitness app for all iPhone users – Track and meet your fitness goals even if you don’t have an Apple Watch.
That’s just a small number of the features within iOS/iPadOS 16.
How To See Which Device Model You Have
If you aren’t sure what model iPhone or iPad you have, all you need to do is click the Settings icon, On the next screen select General, then select About.
On the upper half of the About screen, you will see the Model Name of the device.

When accessing the Software Update Screen, if you only see iOS/iPadOS 15.7, then most likely your device is not eligible to get v16. However, look at the bottom of the screen and see if you have the Upgrade to IOS/iPadOS 16. If you see it at the bottom of the screen, you should be able to select it and update to the latest version.
