Disney Class Action Settlement
For those in the USA, earlier this year Disney removed its channels from YouTubeTV and DirecTV as part of a contract dispute. Even though Disney denied any wrongdoing, it agreed to a settlement after a class action lawsuit. You have until September 8th, 2026, to file a claim. Today’s post will go over what you need to do to file a claim.
What Is The Class Action Lawsuit About

If you purchased a YouTube TV or DirecTV Stream subscription from April 1, 2019, through March 31, 2026, you may be entitled to a cash payment from a class action settlement.
What is this lawsuit about?
*From the Online Settlement Site
The Settling Plaintiffs allege Defendant violated federal antitrust law and various state antitrust and consumer-protection laws by engaging in various forms of conduct to raise the prices of SLPTV and that these acts caused the Settlement Classes to incur damages.
Defendant denies the legal claims and denies any wrongdoing or liability. No court or other judicial entity has made any judgment or other determination of any wrongdoing by Defendant, or that any law has been violated.
How To Submit A Claim
If you are interested in submitting a claim because you had either DirecTV or YouTubeTV between 2016 and 2019, visit the Online Settlement Site and click the Submit A Claim link at the top of the page.
When you click on Submit a Claim, on the next page you see, scroll down a little bit, and you will be prompted to enter your Unique ID and PIN.

You should have received the information you are being asked for via an email to the account associated with the DirecTV or YouTubeTV service. The email should have been received in the past week, sent by OnlineTVSettlement@e.epiqnotice.com. Keep in mind, if you don’t see it, check your spam folder.

If you don’t see the email ->

It may take time for the Settlement to be approved and become Final.
Final Thoughts
At this time, we don’t know how much money will be paid out to each person who files a claim. We also don’t know when the claim will be paid out. Lastly, you have until September 8th to file the claim. With all that being said, if you had DirecTV or YouTubeTV service during the date range listed, you have nothing to lose by filing your claim now and, hopefully, getting some free money paid out.
