Joining Amazon Prime (30-Day Trial)
Joining Amazon Prime on its 30-day trial is actually pretty simple. Follow these steps if you want to join
- Start by going to amazon.com/amazonprime
There you will see the main Amazon page and the link to sign up for the 30-day trial.

- You will next get prompted to enter a mobile number or email. You can use whichever one is easier for you. Once you enter your mobile number or email, you will get prompted to “Proceed to create account”.

- On the next screen, you will see the mobile number or email you entered, be prompted to enter your name, and be prompted to create a password. Verify that the email or phone information is correct, and enter your name and create a password.

- You will now get a prompt to enter the code that was sent to your email or phone. Enter the code and hit Next.
- On the next screen, if you entered an email on the 1st prompt, you get asked for a mobile number; if you entered a mobile number, you will get asked for an email. Once you enter that, you will get 1 more code sent to verify your identity.
- On the last screen you see, you will get prompted to enter a payment method. You will not get billed at this time. Your 1st billing only happens if you don’t cancel before the 30 days of the trial. If you don’t cancel you will get charged $14.99 / month until you do finally cancel.

Once you enter the payment method, you have a 30-day trial to go shopping and spend money.
Cancel Amazon Prime
Once you are done shopping and you want to cancel your trial Prime membership before you get the membership charge (of course), follow these steps –
- While logged into your account, go to the Amazon Data Privacy page. The page will look like this.

- Scroll to the bottom of the page, where you will see the checkbox and button to close your account. Put a check in the box, and click on Close My Account.

- Lastly, you will see a prompt. Go back to either the mobile number or email you entered and look for the email from Amazon to click on the confirmation link to close your account.

Final Thoughts
Enjoy the Amazon deals on October 6th and 7th. Maybe even binge-watch a show or listen to some music. Then just make sure to cancel your account before the 30 days are up, if you don’t want to actually pay for the Amazon membership.
