Alert: Change to AOL Email (As of Feb.1, 2010) affects sent emails
Jan 30th
AOL has sent out an email announcing that as of Feb. 2, 2010, if you receive your AOL email via a 3rd party application (Outlook, Thunderbird, etc) that you will need to make a change to how your 3rd party application saves emails you have sent, because if you don’t, AOL will no longer automatically save the sent email for you. What that means is that yes, you will still be able to send emails if you don’t make the changes they ask, however, most everyone likes to keep a copy of emails they sent just so they can keep track of what they are sending.
The email AOL sent looks like this.
Step by step instructions on how to adjust your 3rd party email software can be found here (LINK: http://help.aol.com/help/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=18997&sliceId=1&docTypeID=DT_AOLHOW_TO_1_1&dialogID=28992960&stateId=0 0 29020837 (http://help NULL.aol NULL.com/help/microsites/search NULL.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=18997&sliceId=1&docTypeID=DT_AOLHOW_TO_1_1&dialogID=28992960&stateId=0 0 29020837))
