Xbox Live Gold will be unlocked* for the weekend for Netflix members

Fans of Arrested Development (http://movies NULL.netflix NULL.com/movie/Arrested-Development/70140358)know that the show returns to Netflix this weekend (Sunday May 26 to be more specific). In honor of the return of Arrested Development, “Starting today, Xbox Live Gold will be unlocked* for the weekend for Netflix members in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Ireland, Brazil, Mexico, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Chile, Colombia and Argentina”.

So if you can’t wait for the return of the Bluth family, and want to watch the show on your big screen, you can use the Netflix app* on your Xbox360 this weekend, even if you don’t have an Xbox Gold Membership.

*Keep in mind that you will still need the Netflix membership to catch up with the original episodes or the watch the new season. Comixology Teaming With Marvel To Offer FREE Comics

Comixology and Marvel Comics are teaming up to offer “Over 700 FREE Issues” of Marvel #1 comics for download. This is actually the second time this promotion has been attempted, with the previous attempt at this promotion being cancelled because of overwhelming demand that completely took down (crashed) the Comixology servers last month. If you are interested in getting in on this promotion you will need to visit the Marvel Promotions Sign Up Page (https://promo NULL.comixology NULL.com/). The promotion runs until April 9th at 11:59 pm (ET).

  • When you get to the sign up page, you will fill in your information and create an account on Comixology, for those who already have an account, there is a place for you to sign in.

  • Once you have created your account (or have signed in on the page), you will get a confirmation advising you to keep an eye on your email. Starting Thursday, April 11th, they will start sending out invites with personalized links for you to access and select the comics you wish to download. Once the email is sent to you, that will give your up to 48 hours to choose your GREE Marvel #1 issues.
