As someone who lived in and enjoyed many of the areas affected by Hurricane Sandy, seeing the effects of the storm is difficult. To benefit those affected by Hurricane Sandy, NBC hosted an hour-long concert, “Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together,” benefiting the American Red Cross’ Hurricane Relief efforts. The concert includes performances from Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi, Billy Joel, Mary J. Blige, Sting, Christina Aguilera, and Steven Tyler with Joe Perry from Aerosmith. It also includes appearances by James Gandolfini, Kevin Bacon, Tina Fey, Whoopi Goldberg and Jon Stewart. The concert includes videos from the affected areas showing the devastation.
