Overall the latest update to the Netflix android app isn’t considered a major update, however, if you are streaming Netflix and have a limited data plan (yep I’m talking to you AT&T and Verizon customers, among others), the latest update will be beneficial.
As you can see from the What’s New section on the Google Play store, “WiFi only playback enabled” . That means you can now control Netflix, so that it only works when you are connected to a WiFi network.
The one question I’ve been asked, is how do you enable the WiFi only function. To enable WiFi only function…..
- On the main page of the app, scroll all the way to the bottom, until you see the “Account” button
- Click on “Account”, you will find the WiFi only option listed there.
