     Based on yesterdays post on the error from the Google Toolbar ( http://techgeekandmore.wordpress.com/2009/07/10/software-google-toolbar-caused-message-gtb22-tmp-exe/ (http://techgeekandmore NULL.wordpress NULL.com/2009/07/10/software-google-toolbar-caused-message-gtb22-tmp-exe/) ) here are the instructions on how to remove toolbars from your computer.  These instructions are for IE and Firefox.  If you are having issues with uninstalling from any of the other browsers (Opera, Chrome, etc) just leave me a note. 

Removing, deleting or uninstalling just about any IE (http://www NULL.microsoft NULL.com/windows/ie/) toolbar, including Yahoo, Google or MSN

You can uninstall Internet Explorer toolbars through your Add/Remove Programs window:

  1. Close any open IE windows.
  2. Click the “Start” button 
  3. Select “Control Panel” or “Settings” then “Control Panel” (Depending on what Start Menu view you have)
  4. Double-click on “Add/Remove Programs”.
  5. Scroll down and click on the unwanted toolbar entry. For example, “Google Toolbar for IE” or “Yahoo! Toolbar”.
  6. Click on “Change/Remove.”
  7. Click Yes or OK if prompted “Are you sure you want to remove….”

Uninstalling, deleting or removing just about any Firefox (http://www NULL.mozilla NULL.com/en-US/firefox/) toolbar, including Google, Yahoo, or AOL

You can use the Extension Manager in Firefox to remove a Firefox toolbar:

  1. Click the “Tools” menu in the Firefox browser.
  2. Click the “Extensions” menu item.
  3. In the Firefox Extensions Manager window, scroll down and click on the unwanted toolbar entry. For example, “Yahoo! Toolbar” or “Google Toolbar for Firefox”.
  4. Click “Uninstall”.
  5. Click “OK” or “Uninstall” in the confirmation window.
  6. Exit Extension Manager. Restart your browser.

**If the uninstall in FF doesn’t work your user profile may be corrupt. You will probably need to create a new user profile in FF.
