According to a post from CNet ( http://news.cnet.com/8301-13860_3-10253924-56.html (http://news NULL.cnet NULL.com/8301-13860_3-10253924-56 NULL.html) ), it has been confirmed by Microsoft that Oct. 22nd will be the release both on PC’s and on store shelves for Windows7.  Those who buy a pc starting Jun 28th (Specific models) will be eligible for a free upgrade to Windows7 after its release.
